Sleepy time

Get comfortable, as comfortable as you can, found that spot yet? No, it’s okay, I can wait. Wiggle your finger and toes, twitch your ears and nose if you can, now twerk. Just do it, your letting go of all the silly wiggles.

There you found it, or something that is close enough. Take a deep breath in, filling you lungs as much as you can. Then let is all come back out, try letting as much tension as you can go. Do it again for good measure. Find something that you can see without moving and focus on it. Take in the color of it, the texture, the shape, the size. Is there anything you haven’t noticed about it before? Stop wondering why I am telling you to look at it and just look at it. Blink three times, does it look different?

Take another deep breath, in and out slowly. Try to picture all of your stress and tension flowing out every time you breathe out. Look at the object again and feel/listen for your pulse, can you hear it in your ears, feel it in your neck, wrist, foot, chest without moving. Count the pulses, find a way to sync your breathing to your heart beats.

With releasing all your stress your body should be slowly relaxing, getting heavy. Are you still looking at your object, or has it faded off somewhere. What did you see? Where your eyes even open? If you want to close them go ahead, closed eyes will help you focus on your breathing and heartbeat. These things should bring you comfort. Eventually you will stop hearing my voice and fall asleep.

Those of you who still have your eyes open, wiggle everything again, maybe you need to adjust your position or maybe the things surrounding you need to stfu so you can try to sleep. Are you still awake because there are things you worried about something? Can it wait until morning? Do you have an alarm set? Don’t worry, you WILL wake to your alarm. You don’t have an alarm, set one. Ok Google, set alarm for 7am. Is it something that can’t wait? Well then why are you listening to me, and why have you been letting me ramble for this long. Go take care of what needs to be done and you can come back to this, start over or find this point, go, get going, why are you still here?

Are you done? Have you found your comfy spot yet? Have you found your object, are you breathing and letting go of your stress? Is your eyes closed? Close them, just do it. Are you in an environment that you can sleep in? Really? Why? Why are you listening to this in an environment that doesn’t let you sleep… are you even supposed to be sleeping?

You know what, screw this, you’re not paying me enough for this, I will not get in trouble because you want to sleep when and where you shouldn’t be sleeping.
