Somehow, she got pregnant, from a dragon.

"Why don't we do some tests." The doc's kind eyes smiled reassuringly at her. He drew her blood and then sent her to get an ultrasound.

The jelly was surprisingly warm and the device tickled against her belly. "It has been 3 months since my last cycle, what do you hope to see?"

"Quite a bit can be seen at most stages." The tech started off smiling. "Oh my." He recovered his smile quickly. "I'm just going to take a few extra pictures. Your baby looks absolutely healthy. But the images are going to have to be looked over again. So I will escort you back down and someone will contact you."

A few hours of pacing in her own hospital room later someone finally entered her room. "Why am I here."

"Do you remember any loss of time within the last 6 months?" The new doctor asked.

Fawn frowned, something about this man seemed familiar. "Do I know you from somewhere?"

"You do." He shut the door behind him and closed the curtains. "I did not expect you to be a carrier." His multicolored eyes bored into her but he stayed with his back to the door.

"You, I met you at a library. After hours of talking you walked me home."

"Yes."

"I didn't remember anything until I woke up the next morning."

"That normally happens around me."

"You, you were amazing, and different, and oh god... You changed your shape, into a dragon, and played with you again." She blushed.

"You remember. That is a good sign, if you want to keep the baby." He looked her over again. "May I ask you a personal question."

She laughed. "If I'll keep the baby? I don't really believe in abortions."

"That is good, but my question is, may I take you home again, this time I'll make sure not to enchant you."

She walked up to him and kissed him, pushing him against the door. For a second he kissed back before lightly touching her chest to make her back up. "I will sign you out and take you home when my shift ends in two hours. Rest. my children do not normally treat their mothers kindly in the womb."
