It went Kerplop, then drip, drip, drip, drop. Betty giggled and clapped her hands as another bit fell down past her. She leaned over the edge and watched it kerplop, drip, drip, drip drop. "Again, again!" The light whistling sound as another one fell past her. "Yeah!"
She loved watching the dark turquoise orb fall from the tube, kerplop on a little platform becoming almost a pancake that is off center just enough that it drips onto a few soft spriny platforms and then drops into the water.
Her mom tried an hour ago to pull the preschooler away and gave up. Oh well, at least she was getting to read her book she always seemed to busy to put her nose it, glancing over the top of her book every time she turned the page at the bouncing curly golden locks. For some reason she felt very tense, and kept checking out the surroundings. There was only a few people around, and nothing that she perceived to be an actual threat.
Gut feelings could be wrong, right?
