Her chest ached and leaked. A hole will do that, Mara looked down at her shoulder pouting. "I like that top... Blood doesn't come out very easily on white silk you know." She put two fingers into the hole, then a third.

Mari walked through the door just as Mara was pulling her fingers away. "I didn't see anything, I don't want to know. I was never here" She said as she promptly left.

Kari squatted down and looked at Mark through the hole before it could close up. "You do the damage, you get to feed her."

"I was just reading." Mark said looking from his book to his hand then to Mara.

"Out loud dumbass" Mara took the book away from him and promptly dropped it, looking at the burn marks on her hands. "There are rules in this house about reading ANYTHING out loud."

"I was just reading the funny parts out loud" He took his book back to his chest.

"You're an unknown magical creature who has the tendency to do magic when speaking and not paying attention." Kari took the book from him. She examined it and threw it back at him. "It is a normal freaken novel"

"Then why did it burn me?" Mara said, crossing her arms and shifting defensively.

"Cause your a vampire" Mark made fangs with first fingers and hissed at Mara.

"I AM NOT A STUPID VAMPIRE!" Mara screeched, making Mark slide backwards and hitting the wall.

Kari grabbed Mara by the shoulders and turned her around guiding her to the door. "Because you are an unknown magical creature who reacts badly to things your brother touches." She pushed her through the door, "Go find your other freaky sibling and do whatever it is you do that helps you heal faster. I hate explaining to your parents why your always full of holes when they get home."
